The Sun Trust Bank Building



120 East Baltimore Street, otherwise known as The SunTrust Bank Building, is a 25-story, Class A, multi-tenant office building located in downtown Baltimore, MD.

CHALLENGE:



The 20 year old building was in need of a complete re-caulking due to age and UV damage from sunlight exposure. Additionally, there were a few pavers that needed to repair to avoid trip hazards.

SOLUTION:



When the building owner’s agent, Manekin, LLC, began the bidding process, they selected an elite group of companies to provide pricing for these services. Clean & Polish’s restoration division CPI presented an in-depth proposal, which also included minor repairs to the ground level concrete and paver systems. Manekin was looking for a “sole source company” and found it in Clean & Polish. Clean & Polish worked closely with the building management and engineering staff to establish our common goal of job and pedestrian safety. We contracted Scaffold Resources to provide pedestrian safety scaffolding and the swing stage scaffold systems our crews use to perform the re-caulking services in a safe and effective manner. Clean & Polish had the Dow-Corning representatives perform re-caulking samples to determine the best process to insure the 20 year materials warranty. Working as a team to bring all of the individual components of a project of this magnitude together, Clean & Polish is now in the final stages of a job well done.
